bleah! probably takes batteries (unless it feeds off brain waves or something unusually sci fi like that) and batteries that small are usually impossibly hard to replace, waste of money if you ask me...

Actually....there is.....with tiny LED's woven thru it. Takes 2 AAA batteries that will last for 8-10 hrs. There were several versions with different color LED's and the deluxe version had different light flashing patterns.
