Thanks for the clarification.

As to which side he's on - I had always figured he was on his own side, and it would pretty much figure into his plans to make that both the winning side and the side with the most money...
Pretty scary. (Even scarier - I think those words are already beginning to lose meaning from overuse.)

I meant, yes, absolutely. Incredibly important and wise to take your time planning - er, scheming. You wouldn't want all your efforts to unravel due to incomplete diabolical plots, after all.
Though you might want to put those plots on hold. After all, you wouldn't want to miss out on all the fun destruction and havoc you could be wreaking while hunting down that new monster in the Questor forum, now would you?
And then there's that asteroid belt to search. Gonna need to take some time on that, I'd think, right?

Okay, folks, I'm hoping that will be enough to keep him occupied for a while.
In the meantime, we've got a multi-universe cave search to conduct and some plans of our own to lay. Do we have everything we need?

Pssst....Sol......stargates emit a harmless but trackable radiation signature.......guess what the sensors on my ship can be easily calibrated to?

Cut the asteroid belt search down to weeks, maybe even days.....you like?

Even if there is, we won't necessarily run into him. We're not, after all, searching parallel universes, just other universes. And since we have limited time, we're concentrating on the unpopulated ones. (Eliminates the risk of having to deal with yet a new version of what we're trying to escape.

Yes, right now things are cool and serene... and now that I've called in my backup, we're preparing plans of our own to keep them that way! (Or, you know, to run off to somewhere that always stayed that way, but that's the backup plan.)

And yes, I remember that you said you wouldn't let Earth get destroyed (at least, not yet). But I've decided that there was rather a lot of fun to be had in meddling with all the plans for massive-scale destruction...

What do you think it was that tipped the balance from just threatening flight to forming a group myself? Three of you? Things were getting serious! And so, you'll recall the cave friends I spoke of earlier? I called them in. They've always loved playing a bit of mischievous saboteur... and together we can find a satisfactorily safe (distant, inaccessible) place to run to when our efforts stop working.

concerning this gate supposadely in the asteroid field (assuming it survived the blast) I could always just dial it up from a different gate and overload it with too much energy...

that should solve the problem, and clear away the astroid field as well.

You release that much energy in the belt, unless it can be confined and directed to all the other asteroids which are currently orbiting the sun, you're going to scatter them everywhere in all directions and all tracking data currently available on them will be useless.....not to mention the fact that you could very well drive a planet-killer sized one directly at this particular little blue marble.

Much as I love a good challenge, I don't particularly relish the idea of risking Sol , myself and my ship to go out there and get into a game of cosmic shooting gallery where one miss could get the planet wasted prematurely.......that would put Sol's scheduel all out of whack!
