The Genesis wave takes only minutes to rebuild a planet in favor of its new matrix..
Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.
Y'know.....I always wondered about a device whose initial action was the complete destruction of all life and matter on a planetary scale, that when it was activated.....(1) could not be aborted or shut off....and (2) said "commit" rather than "launch" or "Active".
Did you hear about the gag Ricardo Montalbon played on the set? For the scene where Khan activates the Genesis device...the "head" rotates up from the mainframe, and the concentric cylinders suddenly shoot foreward. He made it look like Khan was too close to the unit and catches the cylinders square in the chops and gets taken out by the machine before he can "commit".
When the units popped out, he snapped his head back with a "UMMPH" and pitched backward onto the floor.......for a split second everyone thought he'd actually been hurt.....until he couldn't keep a straight face any longer.....the entire cast and crew lost it and it took 3 more takes before they could get thru the scene without cracking up.

All this stuff about "Stargates"... Heck, if I had control of one, I'd have it installed on a narrow ledge halfway up the side of a cliff face in a narrow part of the Grand Canyon.
Just think of all the neat stuff you'd find in the river!

A man after my own heart. But why? Why do they still call me a warlord? And mad? All I want to do is to create the perfect genetic soldier. Not for power, not for evil, but for good. Carlos Blanka will be the first of thousands. They will march out of my laboratory and crush every adversary, every creed, every nation! Until the world is in the loving grip of the Pax Bisonica. And peace will reign and all humanity will bow to me in humble gratitude.

I was saddened that it was Raul's last movie......and even sadder was as fabulous as his performance, he really looked bad in the face......and it was a really fun flic.....about the only thing I didn't really like was the unmistakable parallel to the UN with those baby blue berets.SolidusRaccoon wrote:Yeah that movie is a guilty pleasure of mine, And Bison just stole the day. Well actually they wanted to use the UN name. but the UN wouldn't let them. So they made up their own fictional group. I got the DVD in the WalMart cheapo bin, and it had the commentary from the LaserDisc on it.Sharuuk wrote:I was saddened that it was Raul's last movie......and even sadder was as fabulous as his performance, he really looked bad in the face......and it was a really fun flic.....about the only thing I didn't really like was the unmistakable parallel to the UN with those baby blue berets.SolidusRaccoon wrote:Yeah that movie is a guilty pleasure of mine, And Bison just stole the day.
