Why does the word "busted" suddenly spring to mind after seeing the last panel?

Wait a second!!!!!......if Gilly just "outed" Zelda on the air at the station........HOW did she get home to cover her head that quick????? :-?

Everybodys reactions seem to all happening simultaneously and Gilly JUST said her name seconds before she maced him.

Not all of the panels had to happen at the same time.

The first three were when she was on the air, while the last one was after she went home (and presumably her mother (?) heard her come in).

From what I have read he has never had a girlfriend his whole life is devoted to politics that makes him a walking joke to the town karma?
why kick a man when he is down?

Rather see him learn from this if he cant grow whats the point he may as well just blow his brains out save himself a lot of grief.

Don't need to......he keeps kicking himself.

He'd miss. Total liberals like Gilly don't have enough brains to blow out!

Now, now... Liberals can be quite intelligent. An intelligent person can be a complete fool or completely ignorant of a given topic, or simply misunderstand the facts. If he wears an aluminum-foil hat to keep the mind control rays from the alien black helicopters out of his head, that doesn't prevent his teaching a college course in advanced economic theory...

But he'll never, never understand why people laugh at him.

I think most people are that way, they don't know why people laugh at them, or they wouldn't know why those would laugh at him/her if he/she ever met those people.

because I think the laughers and the laughed at usually don't meet for most people.

I am more curious how badly he can/will get sued from breaking and entering, and breaking her contract with the radio station. If she, or the station decided to come down hard on him... it could be VERY painful.

Most people just look at that and say 'ouch, that must have hurt.' I look at it and see Zelda's career ruined, her mystery was most likely one of the things that kept drawing people back TO her.

My earlier point exactly......and Gilly deserves all the grief he gets from this.

Just because her cover is blown doesn't mean she has to quit (unless she is underage).

Ralph could have this go in many different directions. it depends on what he wants to focus on. is the story more about gilly or more about zelda?

everyone knows what gilly's gonna catch for this. but what's zelda gonna get? I think she's gonna find out that once everyone knows who she is on the air they will come to respect and like her more. a shy (is she a hedgehog or a porqupine (equidna)?) that sudden'y has shown a very sociable side of herself and got it revealed in front of her whole home town.

[...unWARP!!!]

Good evening.

Zelda is a porcupine.

And apparently Thelma's age, too, not too sure, though.

The whole crowd of them seems to be about the same age, and though that age is unclear, it does seem to be above 18. She's legit - she probably just needs to get over her shyness to keep doing her job. I'm curious about what Mama Porcupine wants.

I didn't think she'd actually be the problem after pushing Zelda into going to the sleepover, but the tone of voice looks bad...

If Zelda had a contract to keep her identity secret, and Gilly blew it for her, I don't think she'll be held liable. She couldn't control that some nutjob broke into the studio and blabbed to the everyone in range. Gilly on the other hand is looking at B&E and/or trespassing. I'm pretty sure both are misdemeanors in most places (i am not a cop so I may be wrong), and if that's true the worst he'll face is fines and probation, and maybe a brief stay in the local Grey Bar Inn.

Realistically, the first thing they'd do if an uninvited intruder entered the radio studio would be to kill the mike. I'm surprised her name went out over the air.

Zelda may have been outed, but that doesn't necessarily mean she's out of a job. Whatever her life may have been like before, she no doubt has fans now. Besides Gilly, that is.

oh, I dunno. I mean he still thought her voice was cute despite that voice trashing his political standing time and time again. he may still be a "fan" of hers.
