...every time I consider giving Gilly a girlfriend, the panicked little voice in the back of my mind goes "but what if he BREEDS?"

As he is, Gilly is just a running gag...
With time and more character development he could move toward the middle between the two political extremes and become a deeper character.

Think of it as having insane liberals in stereo, with the added benefit that a rabid feminist would also keep giving Gilly grief whenever he was the least bit of a chauvinist pig, which I suspect would be quite often.

Maybe.....but Gilly STILL should do a little time in the pokey and be hit with a hefty fine.......THEN have the station initiate a MASSIVE lawsuit for general bone-headedness...psychological trauma to Zelda...this could even extend to how her mom is reacting to the situation......maybe mom didn't even KNOW that her daughter was the new DJ.......

You know, it might be that Mom isn't upset that Zelda was on the radio (especially since it's hard for a teen to get a job without their parent's approval -- and don't try to convince me that the management didn't know how old Zelda was in a relatively small community like Malarkey County). Maybe she was upset about hearing her daughter maced someone.

Oh, c'mon. She's a porcupine. A rapist would get quilled. Gilly got exactly what he deserved from her, no more, no less. (Well, except for the lawsuit and arrest things... he deserves them, too.)

This has been Gilly's worst screw-up ever and even worse, he's involved an innocent....most of his other past idiocies only affected him....NOW his arrogance and stupidity has included possible dire consequences for Zelda both personally and professionally.

This needs to cost Gilly........and cost him BIG!!! He needs to learn that actions DO have consequences and that rights have responsibilities.

Something that needs to be mentioned is the fact that if you become a "celebrity" on the radio as a "mystery speaker" sooner or later someones going to expose you its wrong but thats just the way it is.

I mean this was a bad move she would have been smarter to simply say she was zelda from a couple of counties over from the small town of sassafrass or something and no one would have cared.

Yer not quite comin' up to speed here.....Zelda is well known by nearly everybody in Malarkey Co and is also known to be shy almost to the point of reclusive. Her voice wasn't immediately recognized by those who know her well because "Belle" exhibited a confidence and sensuality that Zelda totally lacked. "Belle" was the person inside Zelda that she wishes she could be, but found she could only let that part of her out thru the anonymity of the radio. And now that moron Gilly has driven her back into her shell....and may well have nailed the door shut.

Yes, ultimately she may have been outed by someone......but she hadn't been on the air for more than a couple of weeks, maybe even less before her secret was blown. If she'd been found out say several months down the road, the psychological trauma probably would not have been nearly as bad.....and yes, this event was very psychologocally traumatizing to her.

The only positive aspect of this that I can see, is that if her friends and others get her to understand how much they enjoyed her show and it doesn't matter if that voice on the radio is "Belle" or Zelda......they liked what she had to say and the music she played.
