Oh yeah, I can smell the cash rolling in. But first I think we should do Compton in LA for free. It would make a nice demo of our service.

Well, I think that kinda depends on which side you take in the "Origin of Life" debate.

If you believe we all came from single-celled organisms after lightning struck a pool of goo, you'd probably believe the earth, indeed the universe, was never safe to begin with (especially since it began with a force rivalling that of all the stars in existance).

If, on the other hand, you believe the Bible's account of creation, then yes, the world was safe to live in at one time.

Then we screwed it up. Badly.

=P Either way, the world has not been safe for some time, and leaving it seems to only increase the potential for death the further you go. There's a number of ways to die out there; take your pick.

BTW, Solidus? Sharuuk? The Galatic Patrol's been looking for you two... something about a fight on Krypton?

I think you missed one.
I'm lost. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait. Thanks.

You might consider the fact that not everyone who lives in the Tumbledowns is a gang member or thief....

We know......

The number of good folks down there probably outnumber the drek but are afraid to do anything out of fear of reprisals......much like the crack neighborhoods in this time and place.

That's why sometimes an outsider is needed....someone who isn't afraid of them, someone who doesn't give a crap about "established proper procedure" and "rules of engagement". Someone to come in, aquire reliable contacts and find the rats in their lair and exterminate them.....then split before the ever impotent "authorities" arrive to bluster and bruffle about how outrageous it is when people take the law into their own hands. This of course comes after years of abject failure on the part of said "authorities".

Sol and I feel the same way generally. But we also know there are a good number of innocents in there as well and they aren't the "enemy".

BTW.....the "MASSIVE FUUUUUNNN" would be in cleaning out Compton in LA.....you could bulldoze an entire city block and not hit innocent citizens homes in that hell hole.

that's why I prefer swords, less calateral damage that way

that and one good emp and a bulletproof vest and the only wepons left effective are either masively destructive (which i let solidus and sharuuk fignt over since I have no experience with them) or the older mid-evil weapons and such.

I'm quite good with a Katana, studied Kendo for years.....IRL I'm quite comfortable and effective with just about any weapon in my hand.

You're forgetting that nearly all modern firearms are totally mechanical devices and therefore impervious to EMP. Which is one of the reasons I so totally oppose all the new electronic "smart gun" technology the gun banners are trying to push. And as far as your vest goes, there's only so much it'll stop effectively before it becomes so heavy that you can't wear it for more than a few minutes. And while there's no bullet that can't be stopped, NOTHING is truely bullet-proof.

So? what is your point? Send in a wrecking crew, level the place. Eredicate the scum, and let the good hard workers rebuild.

Since we would be instrumental in wrecking their homes, do we assist the good folk in the rebuild?

Nah, we use the theives and gangmembers as labor, Some good hard work will fix them, No cushy jails here, they will work of their debts to society. And the real trouble makers will be dealt with in a diffrent manner. Gragnum chow.

Recruit them for my own personal army. A think a few gold coins will get them to see things my way.
