I have no idea how RH manages to DO that! The last panel is one of the funniest ones I've seen in months, to say nothing of how he manages to convey that innocent 'hold me look'. I've had puppies who couldn't pull that off as well! Bravo!

If Tuck has half a brain, he'll get on the next bus and stay in the city near her so as to not risk losing her like Nip lost his girlfriend.

(I would be totally crushed if something were to happen to their relationship.)

Or at least call her hotel number every hour on the hour during the times of day that they are both awake:lol: ... doesn't matter if she is there or not for any given instance. "Thinking of you" sounds at least OK on any answering machine... at least until the 20th time.

I just noticed the size of her suitcase! Not exactly traveling light, is she?

Than again, if you're going off on a modeling shoot, I guess that you'd want all of your prettiest cloths with you.

But does she have all that much to pack? How many pairs of cutoffs does she need to bring (In recent years she doesn't seem to wear much more than that. Then again, it works for Pop's girls, so why not.)

And I would think that the contest would supply costumes in any case.

Not to mention what was pointed out earlier: a "calendar shoot" may not be requiring much in terms of cloths in any case. (And if that is the case, I wonder how she'll react? Go with the flow or get on the next bus home?)

That's a good question. We'll just have to wait and see what mettle she's made of. I imagine it's got to be hard being an actor or an actress. I heard that to work for most big companies, you have to sign something saying that you're willing to do nude scenes.

When I signed on with EDS several years ago, part of the employment contract allowed them to use my likeness for any purpose the company saw fit!!

(They also have a clause where I waive my "moral rights" - it's a very weird contract.)

I was able to get them to strike both of those clauses on grounds of potential conflict with my religious beliefs, but it took several weeks for it to work its way through legal to get the changes approved.

Just goes to show that you don't have to be an actor for a company to think that they literally own you body and soul.

This is a woman we are talking about, they pack like that for an hours trip away from home. Men on the otherhand can fit a weeks worth of clothing into a sandwich bag.

Electronic Data Systems. (A very big consulting company.)

In addition to my Rabbinic and Professorial hats, my main job then was being the Project Manager/Software Architect with responsibility for much of the PDM/PLM (Product Data Management/Product Lifecycle Management) software used by a major client in the Detroit area.

When we were bought out by EDS, they put us through a really strange process of screening/interviewing/qualification, even though they couldn't afford to lose any of us. It was as if the FBI had taken over our offices for a few days and was going through everything and everyone in search of some critical evidence.

I suspect that one of the reasons I had so little difficulty getting some of the weirdness struck from their standard contract language was that they really could not afford to upset the client by pulling personnel changes with key players.

To this day I find not only the language, but several of the concepts of what they generally require employees to agree to as being weird in a Twilight Zone type of way.
