Thank you Jamie and your welcome JT

quote:
posted by DracoDei:
Point being one wonders (if) Gus ends up in the clink and for how long. A suspended drivers liscense might be poetic justice, but since he wasn't driving at the time that would not be logical with the flow of the plot.

Nor would it be comicly/tragicly as entertaining. Speaking of clinks, who is the local law enforcement? Are we going to see a new character introduced to fill that role or all we going to find out ol' man Gus (the tortoise) is sheriff of Malarkey.

"Does that have to be your solution to everything?"
"Well... yeah. Now get ready to run."

Considering that Nip was made fire chief I can't imagine that Malarkey Countey has too much real authority in ANY public protection department.

Pining away ain't quite the same thing as being in your own little world, tis true.
(Oh my... modern grammer to country twang to Shakespearian English in one paragraph!)
I don't know what the law is like in Milarky, can't be TOO tough or Nip would have served some time by now (dynamite accidents). OTOH drunk and disorderly + assault > random property damage. I think Gus might actually be the less dangerous of the two, but there is NO question of whom is more morally reprehensible. Point being one wonders Gus ends up in the clink and for how long. I'd bet the judge could get him on a DWI charge, to revoke his driver's license.

Dang! Blakkat, you have raised some very good points there. With plugs and a condenser to go with it!
Where's Gus going to get his fancy truck fixed? He'll have to leave the county, or find some shade-tree mechanic, or do it himself if he can even get the parts. Whoa.. There's a pain that will linger.

All I know is that Gus ain't getting the quality service at Pop's Auto anymore. Considering that those girls help run the only place in the county where Gus can pick up parts for his pick-up the first break down is gonna be bad for that boy.
