ComicCon, here I come!

Post by Matt Trepal »

That's right, I'll be in San Diego August 1-4, hanging out with the groovy people I met last year (or as many of them make the return trip) and meeting some new ones (hopefully)! Plus, KeenSpace is sharing some of the KeenSpot booth this year, and we'll be debuting the KeenSpace Spotlight 2002, which has an original 3-page story by yours truly, so I will actually be manning said booth for some portion of the weekend!

So, if anybody out there will be at the ComicCon, feel free to stop by the booth and shower me with praise and cash prizes!

Or, just say Hi!

Woah.

Okay, I'm not sure I quite deserve THAT much praise....

But thanks!

I've gotten my assigned booth time, so if you're mildly interested, I'll be behind the counter at the KeenSpace booth from 1PM to 4PM, on Thursday, August 1. I'll also be attending two panels for sure: "Modern Tales: Comics on the Web," at 5:30PM on Thursday, and "KeenSpot: The Future of Everything," at 3PM on Friday. The rest of my time I'll be wandering around the Con, checking out what's what.

Like I've mentioned before, we'll be passing out free copies of the KeenSpace Spotlight 2002 book, and I'll sign anybody's copy who wants one. I'm working on putting together business cards, but that will be the only other FCE freebie that will be there. I'll probably be at the booth for more than my assigned time, either behind or in front of the counter.

If you're at the Con, I hope you stop on by!

Shame I can't make it... would love to go and see just who makes this odd comic. :-)

I won't be there, so take these words of praise with ye: FCE kicks serious arse. It also kicks nonserious arse, too. Good luck, Matt!

Thanks, Cap'n! And it is too bad you can't make it. I enjoy meeting the people who read the strip. Oh, and I'll take that "odd" comment in the best way.

But my departure is imminent, so I've got to go. Strips are in queue through next week, so there shouldn't be any interruption (hopefully, unlike last year, but that wasn't my fault  ). I'll have limited access to the web, but I really don't intend to take advantage of it; I'll be too busy having fun! But feel free to discuss the unfolding squid events amongst yourselves.

See you all in a week!
