Why fantasy heroes never find a stash of cocaine or a cache of submachine guns is beyond me...

Let's look around for some more ale-finding moments. This is one, although my crew get disappointed when the barrel turns out not to be what it seems....

Caches of machine guns is very much a staple of the action genre and most people want to stay as far away from their cliches as possible. On 2002-03-18 00:14, reinder wrote:

Fantasy heroes finding and using drugs though is a rather unexplored area (expect of course for shamanistic "herbal magic" stories). Hmm, powerful wizard on a bad LSD trip - that probably has some interesting possibilities.

To be quite honest, though, I have had the vaguest ideas about a gun- and drug-running wizard. I plan to call the story "Vice-Lord of the Rings."Fantasy heroes finding and using drugs though is a rather unexplored area (expect of course for shamanistic "herbal magic" stories). And, yes, I am ashamed of that pun.
Fraud of the Rings lives.
