Another silly forum exercise

Since I pour all of my creative energy into producing new strips thrice-weekly for you all, I have little left over for stimulating and enjoyable forum games. Therefore, I am forced to steal other peoples' ideas, like this one. Alas, I can't remember the site that I saw it on (I thought it was The Makeshift Miracle, but it was not), so I can't give proper credit, but it goes something like this:

We're going to write a story, one sentence at a time. Each poster will contribute one sentence, building upon what has come before. Other than that, there are no rules. Use this thread to comment upon what's been written (should any comments arise), and the appropriately-titled thread to contribute. Now, have at it!

(oh, and if anybody could point out which site I stole this from, let me know, 'cause I'll give 'em full credit)
