...Thoroughly abused, Who's idea was it to send a Fighter-Jock on a Medevac flight?? Maaaan, it's gonna take a month to replace the structural damage to the Portside wing alone!!! (damn, I hate these Warranty jobs...Thirty-year free maintenance guarantee my @$$!!!) oh lookit the burned parts... *sigh* and did you HAVE to get blood on open structure??? oh. OH. okay, ohkay... Yes, it's covered on your warrantee... (Never again, never ever ever go for another Exedran Military Contract...)

Hoooookay. First of all, nobody insults my flying and *censored* lives. It ain't my fault that oversized metal slug can't take any *censored* g's or a *censored* roll!! Major, no offense, nobody but a One-Seater could think that an insertion/extraction in HOT enemy territory is a trick for a barely-armed medevac slick, ALONE. Besides, at the speeds you take off and land at,(in a Dart) a Fighter falls right out of the sky. By the way... is that a spider on your shoulder, Max?

Check out some Historical data on the Vietnam War, a big percentage of the choppers lost there were taken out during Medical Evacuation in a Hot LZ. Now, Max maybe didn't make the right call there, but, then agian, maybe he made the only call he could, a matter of choosing between bad, and worse. Over all, he did a good job with what he had. Where a board of Inquiry might have questions is a hell of a lot further up the chain of command, where, (again) compromises had to be made, and this returns to a Bad/Worse scenario up THERE. Monday Morning Quarterbacking is a long-recognized sport with Oversight committees that don't risk their lily-white behinds on the front lines. I've engaged in some right here, myself, but, in the end, it's a matter of circumstances dictate our actions, and those actions often have Murphy's Arse attached.
On a side note: Am I right in guessing that Max's Crew Chief looks really hot when she isn't in a Sweat-Bag covered in hydraulic fluid?--^
