Indeed. One-dimensional pure evil villains are often stupid.<P>It was funny that about 3/4 of the way into the script, they seemed decide "wait, maybe we should try to show a sympathetic side to him to explain why he's such an asshole", but it was too little, too late.<P>Still, I enjoyed FF, since the animation was so impressive and interesting! You just have to not expect much from the script. (Or be a big fan of stereotypical incoherent technobabble anime scripts I guess...)
