This is a good reason why KoFC will never be massively popular. And I really shouldn't go packing additional references to 3 Shakespeare plays and a Pixies song in a single finale strip. Oh well.
BTW Fight Club shows a that good story doesn't have to end with a monster destroying a city. Well-placed explosives work too!

All really good storylines end with a huge monster destroying a city. Course, that might just be the Godzilla fan in me speaking.
(Side note: Memento finally came to my city. I actually understand everything now! Kinda, sorta, anyway ... )
------------------

Zwol you beat me to it.
Russ, excellent series, and while you may not know what you're going to do next, I personally can't wait.
I do hope you'll keep Will around for more appearances.

------------------

Alright, so I have nothing to say. Did we really need this space to prove it?

Okay I finally saw Memento. I thought Shakespeare's Memento was interesting enough beforehand (I liked the experimentation with art styles a lot) but now I have to post - "Damn Cool Russ!!" Lot's of great references and a mostly good spins on mixing up the various stories/movies you lifted from. There is a lot of potential in there! I would love to see more stories that are intellectually clever and incorporated more than just a lift from the latest videogame.
Was there a thread here about the movie Memento itself? I'll look around. I wish I'd seen that earlier this year. Creepy and compelling and I'm still thinking thru bits of it this morning...
------------------

Thanks Robb!
BTW speaking of memento/memory stuff, i'm getting a strange sense of deja vu from the half life storyline at burnt dog radio.
------------------

You are one of the few who was actually reading Burnt Dog Radio in 2000 than!!
I only reused about 4 or 5 scripts though and maybe 3 or 4 panels from last year's Half-Life inspired storyline. And unlike last year where I was seriously burnt out while drawing it, I am in much better spirits about it this year. I have scripted out a fairly ambitious story incorporating a few original (well probably not really original but I'm not consciously borrowing them) ideas and more "references" to favorite science fiction stories/movies/games.
Now if I could just get PennY Arcade to link to me again like they did about this time last year!

------------------
