It's been a while since I posted art stuff on the forums. Here, though, is one thing I'm developing for the magazine that also publishes Floor. It's aimed at teaching Dutch 12-year-olds how to slag eachother off in English!
Do you reckon I've got a winning concept going here?

I guess the concept is good, if the editors don't mind teaching children insults in English.
But, uhm, one thing though. I haven't heard of the phrase: "You're Barking!" before now. But the words in red below I've heard used before.
Good luck with this.

I'd heard it before, and it's in the first Harry Potter book, which is aimed at native speakers but in the same age group. But, uhm, one thing though. I haven't heard of the phrase: "You're Barking!" before now. But the words in red below I've heard used before.![]()

Heh.
"Barking" as in short for "barking mad". That's a pommy one, I suspect.
What about: "Ye'r off yer nut!"? I like that one. Pedwyn in Pewfell says that.
And the classic "A few X's short of a Y," <insert appropriate terms...>
A lot of kids say "That's really gay" these days, but you're trying to teach them English slang, not homophobia..
