I was reading the latest issue of the Pdf comic magazine Borderline when what should I find on page 43 but pictures of Nemi staring back at me illustrating an article on Norwegian comics! Nemi and her creater Lise Myhre get several pharagrapsh in the article (which also mentions that Nemi shares space in the US comic strip Fox Trot!, which is just plain weird).
You can find Borderline here http://borderline.mediahall.co.uk/ its a big download but worth it.
------------------

A very well informed article indeed. Thank's for posting the link!
I was especially pleased to see mention of one of my favourites: InkaLill's epic "Felina". This comic is in my opinion _the_ one work living most up to the spirit of Marten Toonder!
And BTW - mentioning "Felina" also highlights one problem with Norwegian comics that is not mentioned in the article: Circulation is _small_, taking odd channels, and print quality is generally low. Ie. "Felina" is ONLY available to readers of one particular newspaper. Other good comics are also relegated to small-circulation, special-interest magazines.
Anyway, here's a link to InkaLill's (unfinished) personal homepage: www.inkalill.no. Send her a note if you like what you see. She'll appreciate it. And if any of you have a rich uncle who owns a publishing business - do point him in InkaLill's direction!
(PS: The new Nemi collection is now out. :-)

Well - no new art (except a very fine and moody illustrated poem in b&w), which was a bit of a disappointment. Still, as a collection of newspaper strips it's very good.
And btw: You can now get your DAILY fix of Nemi on the net! http://spray.nettavisen.no/kultur/tegneserie/nemi
