I asked a Dutch friend to take a look at the Gnomish in the comic today.
He says it's not Dutch. To him it looks vaugly Norse or Celtic, to me it looks a lot like Old English.
So, if you don't mind telling, what language is it, or did you make it up?
Take Care
DFG
P.S. I'm having a lot of fun reading your comic, thanks for sharing.

It's a mix of modern Norwegian, fake old English, hot grit gargling and gibberish. If you know a Scandinavian language you can usually make sense of it.
And thanks for the kind words. Can I just jump on the Carson Fire bandwagon again and ask you all to tell people about ROCR? Especially on fantasy-related forums and, if you're into that sort of thing, RPG gatherings in what for convenience's sake I shall call the real world?
------------------

I forgot to mention - I do intend to include Dutch-speaking creatures some time. I just haven't made up my mind yet on what kind of creatures should speak Dutch.
------------------

How about dwarves from Dutchland?? (Or even better, some more language-murdering evil elves?)

Withllew is a faerie, not an elf. And I don't think you spell her name the way I just did.
Suppose there's a Dutch-speaking race in RoCR. What are they supposed to speak if Reinder decides to publish in Dutch again?
