I'm afraid the break is going to continue because I no longer have a connection to the internet at home. Hopefully I will get reconnected, but that is going to take at least another week if not more (damned telecoms companies).<P><P>------------------

The "good" news is, I should have ADSL access at the end of this fiasco. The bad news (newses?) are:<P>1. It'll tkae a fortnight, so <I>they</I> say, which translates to a waiting time of around a month<P>2. ADSL is not guarenteed, which means I may have to go throught he same process to convert back to ISDN should things fall through, which will take <I>even longer</I><P>3. I won't have any readers left when I get back, <I>if</I> I get back<P>4. I'm talking to myself, which is a sign of madness<P>5. I don't even have an analogue modem, so I'm cut off from teh Big Bad Web when at home, and since us Mac users don't believe in floppies (floppies <I>ceased to exist</I> when the iMac came out), there's no way I can transfer any of my files anywhere where I can upload them.<P>

can't you use your old reliable Jazz drive to get them off your G4 to some old crappy 486s in LSE? This does mean you have to carry the drive with you but hey, it's worth it!<P><I> Sigh...what's the point? I can read it. Remember, I do have access at school.<P>And, not, I can't carry my Jaz to school. No computers here have a SCSI connector (all IDEs). Anyway, I'd be a little conspicuous.<P>BTW, look out for yourself in an upcoming comic. Knowing him, don't get your hopes up. When he returns everything would have coolled off and he will want to do a different strip instead. I tried to talk him to carry on with this strip, but he wasn't too convinced. So everyone help me to ask him to draw this strip to a natural conclusion.
