Holy Shit!!

What happened today is just awful. The U.S. has been thrown into confusion. This will be a day that will be remembered like the Challenger disaster, the assasination of John F. Kennedy, and the attack at Pearl harbor. 50,000 people are dead and the New York skyline has been changed forever.<P>-------------<P>Quote of the Week:Do you beliiiiiiIIIIIIEEEEEEeeeeeeve in life after love?

Yes. Horrible. I just hope a war or something worse doesn't result from this.

My thoughts are in my Live Journal (which is having Keenspace-like tendicies again). The thing I can't believe the most is Bush's expression upon hearing the news! WTF kind of look is that!? It's like he didn't care. At least show a little surprise!<P><img src="http://www.angelfire.com/games/extremegt/images/DUKE.art" ALT="This is my Pok

Now, believe me, I enjoy making fun of our president elect, but you have to remember, people react differently to these things. And keep in mind, when he heard about all this, he was in a reading session with a grade school class. I doubt he wanted to make a big reaction and upset the kids.

I know he is feeling bad about this. What American isn't? (Well, probably not that one classmate I talked about in my Journal, but that's a different story.) <P><img src="http://www.angelfire.com/games/extremegt/images/DUKE.art" ALT="This is my Pok

The thing about the attack is that the terrorists were out to kill indiscriminately. There's a large Muslim population in NYC, so you can't tell me that some Muslims didn't die in that attack! But what kind of rationality can you expect from people so sick? Although this has been a terrible, terrible catastrophe, it is encouraging to see how our country is banding together in reaction. I have Mexican, Korean, Jordanian, and Puerto Rican friends who are all furious about this. I also get the feeling there is no place for them to hide (except maybe Afghanistan, but that's not really so secure anyhow...)
