What happened today is just awful. The U.S. has been thrown into confusion. This will be a day that will be remembered like the Challenger disaster, the assasination of John F. Now, believe me, I enjoy making fun of our president elect, but you have to remember, people react differently to these things. And keep in mind, when he heard about all this, he was in a reading session with a grade school class. I doubt he wanted to make a big reaction and upset the kids.

The thing about the attack is that the terrorists were out to kill indiscriminately. There's a large Muslim population in NYC, so you can't tell me that some Muslims didn't die in that attack! But what kind of rationality can you expect from people so sick? Although this has been a terrible, terrible catastrophe, it is encouraging to see how our country is banding together in reaction. I have Mexican, Korean, Jordanian, and Puerto Rican friends who are all furious about this. I also get the feeling there is no place for them to hide (except maybe Afghanistan, but that's not really so secure anyhow...)
