Another example: "The Chuckling Whatsit" by Richard Sala. Sort of Raymond Chandler meets H.P. Lovecraft.<P>------------------
"Truth hides on the other side of a two-way mirror
In countless documents sent straight to the shredder
That might finally give us the whole of the picture
But until the day we decide to dig a little deeper
We know that truth will hide
Under fallen rocks and stones
At the end of a disconnected phone
Down an unmarked street
And buried, deep beneath your feet."

Found this the other day:<P>"If a method of Painting which combines the Painter and the Poet is a phenomenon worthy of public attention, provided that it exceeds in elegance all former methods, the Author is sure of his reward."<P> - William Blake, "Prospectus Oct. 10, 1793"<P>Blake, William, and Alfred Kazin ed., <cite class=book style="text-decoration: underline">The Portable Blake</cite>, Viking Press, New York, 1946<P>Blake, of course, was an engraver as well as a poet. His version of the Book of Job combined text with illustrations, in such a way that both are necessary for a complete understanding of the work.<P>------------------
