"Sorry Inigo, I din mean to jog him so hard!"

So, the original version of TPB never existed? I read the book version Goldman did and he gave every indication that it was indeed a real book that just happened to be very hard to get.

"Oh. You mean THIS gate key."

(yeah, it turns out that's it all been one big hoax by the Goldman himself. I tried to find Morgenstern's name in library databases and on the net, only to realize [and discover] that it was just a a very well-designed put-on. But, in order for the story to work, he actually NEEDED to create the hoax [the interaction between grandfather and kid wouldn't work any other way]... so I forgive him.)

have you ever considered piracy?
you'd make an excellent dread pirate roberts...

*yeah, it's an elaborate hoax. it made reading the book he originaly wrote kinda confusing, but it's still good.*

"We'll never make it."
"Nonsense. You're only saying that because no one ever has"

(Goldman continues using his hoax story in the 25th anniversary edition, too, with the first chapter of 'Buttercup's Baby'. I think the whole thing is almost as entertaining as the story itself, personally)

Ahahahah!!! Ahahahahah!!! Ahahah---

*keels over*

(Yeah, I wanna read that sometime. What really got me, tho, is how he wrote about his wife and kid in the preamble... it's like, "how much of THAT was true and how much of that was completely made up, too?")

Personally, I quit reading the prolouge shortly after his editor started bugging him to write a new screenplay. At that point, I just skipped to the book itself.

"Aaah! You lost your arms in battle! But you grew some nice boobs . . . "
"Blinken, I'm over here."

Whoops, wrong movie . . .

"Well done Westley, sleep tight, I'll most likely kill you in the morning"?
8) Yeah . . .

(well, the DVD talks about Goldman some - yes, I am a Princess Bride freak - and it mentions that he has two daughters, if that means anything)

"What was that for?"

"Because you were always so kind to me and I won't see you again since I'm going to my room to kill myself."

"Well, isn't that nice."

(to the queen) "She KISSED me!!!"
