Just what are you smoking Damonk???
Dude! Zapping bunnies in a comic? Anybody who'd put a dead rabbit in their comic deserves a kick in the goolies!

Hwaet!
So now what? Is Beowulf going to avenge the bunny?
. . . Actually, that would be kinda cool . . .
(runs off to scribble ideas)
And would it be a Welsh rabbit?

Jack's a moron.
I apologize for the stupidity on the part of Simon and my worse third . . . Had he been following the thread properly, he would have realized that the whole Welsh thing was dropped a while ago.
Also, it's Welsh rarebit. (sigh) Well, at least he hasn't corrupted my strip yet.

Actually, I believe it was originally "rabbit", and then some guy in the 18th century or something decided to change its name because it didn't actually contain rabbits. Or something. I need to do the research. Suffice to say either is acceptable.
And the comic itself isn't in Old English. Oh, well.
(hatches fiendish plan... hatching... hatching... okay, hatched.)
Um, what are you looking at? Nothing to see here! Move along!

Errr . . . yah.
Well, this is what happens when Wolfgang uses my fifth-grade report on Wales for his source material. And perhaps it's a good thing it's not in Olde English, because of the three of us, Wolfie's the only one who can read it - or at least pretend to.
Oh, well.
Say, do any of you want to see a really bad spoof of Beowulf? I'm working on one for an English project.

What impresses me is that Damonk can do this. I know I'm not alone in looking forward to see where this goes, and how it resolves. Mainly I'm reminded of a series of Calvin and Hobbes strips, where Waterson had a week of nothing but Calvin growing larger and larger - without any explination or text of any kind. He stopped after a week, not wanting to lose readers due to the unorthodox content (and that was just a drawn out visual gag - he didn't do anything like, say, put up an almost entirely blank page for a week).
What we have here though is an audience who will stick around, clicking in every day (or three days a week at this point) to see if anything has happened that we can make sense of. And knowing Damonk, he'll do something annoying like get us all wrapped up in the fried bunny storyline just in time to whisk us back to Framed, or something different. Suddenly changing every single aspect of your comic should be risky, but this guy is getting away with it, and has his readers even more interested in what's going on than usual.
Of course, what amuses me most is that this comes right after the Passe strips, in which he assured new readers that things would eventually make sense.

I agree. It's not every strip that can "turn off" for a week and keep its audience, never mind that when the strip resumes it's got no recognizable connection to what came before (in the passe, as it were).
On the other hand, having known Damonk for as long as I have and having examined his mind at work -- albeit in small chunks (spread out on my workbench) -- he knows exactly what he's doing and in the long run this will fit seamlessly into FRAMED!!! continuity.
He's got a loyal captive audience, and he abuses us mercilessly. This is, I think, one definition of "co-dependant."

Just a thought . . .
Has anyone else entertained the idea that these characters might be the ANCESTORS of Frank and Allison? I've been entertaining it for a week, as well as the idea that maybe the fros are behind this (going uber-pass

Didja notice:
The one man's surname is Cormy'yrr or something like that; could that be something like Cormier - as in Damonk's alter ego Frank Cormier?

Conspiracy theories
So if we're watching Damonk's ancestors . . . then the 'fros were too effective!
And then maybe the lightning was like Frank or Allisteve possessing the bunny!
And this whole thing is going to go medieval . . .
gasp-gasp-gasp . . .
Okay, I'm under control now.
