2) Lack of sense.
3) Lack of humor.
4) Lack of popularity.

It made sense to me. It's your choice.. but I don't know why you'd HATE doing it.. the whole point of being a good cartoonist is enjoying what you're doing.------------------

People who say that you should enjoy it, need to get out of their caves. 2 years ago, that would've been true, perhaps, because back then there was NO Keenspace, no big humongous amalgamation of comic strips that are more popular than your own. Enjoyment has been sucked out. If you want to get ahead, you have to put enjoyment aside and do essentially dirty work to get readers. If you enjoy what you're doing, it's likely that you're not going to get readers..doing it for yourself is more self-centered than you think. You have to be open and perceptive to what your readers want. Problem was, I didn't have readers then. Therefore I had no reason to continue it, because I had no fun in doing it. I'm sure I'll have fun doing Merlin's Crew, but having fun won't pay the rent or bring home the bacon. Ask any of the syndicated cartoonists. I'm sure they wake up almost every morning, hating their comic, wishing they could escape their contract. Yes, there are others, like Schultz, that have always enjoyed their work, but there are others that are buried and drowning.

I agree with Matt, mostly. This has no longer become a happy place to be. With 400 comics on Keenspace, there is no room for fun and enjoyment anymore. It's either do or die, and the people that die are the ones that are doing it for themselves. These days, it's about readers and money. Matt's chosen the better path of wanting readers and not money.. essentially, readers bring money anyway. COMIC!!! was too confusing to lure in readers, and Matt doesn't want to make himself known for it. That's why he removed it. It may anger some..heck, I thought he'd just get a new subdomain for Merlin's Crew. But it's probably the only way for him to get his name out there.------------------

I'm just saying, it would've been nice if Matt were to tie everything up first for the old readers, before he removed it. Or like Vamos said..just get a new subdomain for Merlin's Crew...------------------
