My apologies. I did not have all of the relevant information before I wrote that bit.

Though you may cringe, I've attempted to do another version with your original intent in mind:

Jake: "Get out of my way, Niko!"
Niko: "Do you even have the slightest idea what's going on here?"
Jake: "Of course! It's a nightmare, a never-ending one!"
Niko: "And you want to wake up from it?"
Jake: "Obviously."
Niko: "But what happens when you do wake up?"
Jake: "Well... nothing... what are you-"
Niko: "Wrong! The dream stops, and everyone goes with it!"
Jake: "What?!"
Niko: "This all goes away. Elliot, Andre, Andrew, Shelby, they all go away. If you wake up, if you destory this nightmare, everything ends. We all die. If anyone wakes up, the rest of us die. I... don't... want... to... DIE!"

Do you find this more satisfactory, or should I give up and go shine shoes for a living?
