1: Thank GOD someone came on. It's been DEAD today.
2: Sure thing. Although, I don't typically like adding on to peoples' ideas, because I tend to try and change things and then it just doesn't work out. But feedback, I can give.
Silence: Amazing idea. I like the plotline, characters, and the incorporation of Eric's horde into the story.
I like the short story ideas too. You can add to the Pro'verse all you want, but I suggest you don't go over your head. Just finish Pro Trainer first.

1. I KNOW RIGHT? (I'm guilty of not checking often as well.)
2. I enjoy hearing what other people think would be cool to add to my stuff. It helps alleviate the guilt I feel for taking other peoples ideas, running away with them, boarding a super sonic jet, and continuing torun fly away in strange zig-zag smoke patterns with the previously mentioned ideas.
Silence and other fanfic comments: Don't worry, they're all in conceptual stages and will remain there until I finish Pro Trainer. Of course, once that happens, expect me to run away at warp speed with my own ideas.

Proof that Insane Awesomeness is not ours alone.
Okay. Seriously. I am going to go watch the rest of this the moment I have free time. Apparently it's on Newgrounds.
I MEAN SERIOUSLY. THIS IS THE MOST INSANE AWESOMENESS I'VE EVER WITNESSED. THIS IS INCLUDING THE ADVENTURES OF DR. MCNINJA AND THE GREAT INVASION SCENE FROM SMASH BROS. BRAWL.

Ideadump: Mythnoir
Premise: Ancient gods and mythical creatures still exist. The gods of Ancient Greece are still around, tending to their domains and having flings with mortals when they feel like it. The monsters of said myths have adapted themselves to modern times, and a few previously monstrous creatures are now civil and cultured.
Protagonist: Minerva ‘Minnie’ Drambal
Minerva identifies herself as the daughter of a distinguished Professor of Law at Harvard when asked about her parentage. When asked about her mother, she usually finds a way to dodge the question, but when she cant, she will outright state that her relations with her mother are strained and that the inquiry should cease immediately.
This is to avoid the fact that Minerva’s mother is actually Athena, the goddess of Wisdom. As the gods are wont to do, she fell in love with Arthur Drambal, a shy law student at Harvard, and helped him graduate at the top of his class and move onto a long and comfortable career. When Athena gave birth to Minerva, she sent her to Arthur to raise, as was traditional for half-mortal children of the gods.
Minnie thus grew up in an extremely intelligent and investigative household. Arthur, like a few of his fellow lawyers, had been inspired to his career by Atticus Finch, and from Minnie’s early years taught her to both respect everyone regardless of appearance and revere facts and truth.
‘Minnie,’ who is known as such to everyone except for her mother, is an intelligent young woman who has held a position as a New York City Police Department Detective-Investigator for a few years before leaving to establish a Private Investigation business.

Re: Insane Yet Awesome Idea Thread
I fail to see anything wrong with it. We share a fascination with the world the pokemon games take place in, and we enjoy expanding and exploring that world through our stories. So what if they're novel sized? It's something we love doing, and it allows us to hone our skills.
Fan-fiction, despite consisting of 90% crap, isn't inherently bad. It's just done badly. It can be an art form, and it will always be a display of our affection for the creations of others. I feel no shame for writing fanfiction. I'm having fun, after all.

Re: Insane Yet Awesome Idea Thread
Though I've decided to stop writing fanfiction, I agree with Jake.
Seriously, quit ragging on them for writing fanfiction. It's their choice, and something you can't prevent nor stop. I'm going to go out and say this, Encyclopedia Dramatica is RARELY accurate. There are people who put effort into their fanfictions to make it NOT like the stereotypical mary-sue type bullcrap we perceive to be fanfiction. Going ahead and insulting fanfiction writers, your own friends at that, for writing fanfictions that aren't only NOT mary-sue, but VERY WELL WRITTEN, is quite the low blow.

Yes this is all true but it dissapoints me to see you and Eric (but mostly Eric) throwing diamonds (in your case quartz) into shit piles. It doesn't make the shit more daimondy, it makes the diamond shittier. I would just like to see you guys create your own world and elaborate it. Orbahlen will do this (maybe), if it ever get's made.Dreamaniaccomic wrote:I fail to see anything wrong with it. Re: Insane Yet Awesome Idea Thread
Dude I sing the praises of my friends stuff, did I not say that Eric's was well written, but a waste. I don't insult them I say only that it's a disappointment that I don't get to see a new world that they create. It is for this reason that I would say I like original fiction more than fan fiction simply by virtue of the fact that it is a new world for me to learn about. It's the difference between getting a tour of your home town and getting a tour of a new city, either way you will probably see some things that you never saw before, but the new city will still be more interesting. I don't like to insult my friends work when it's actually good, and the only time it is a spiteful insult is when they can't improve it. My criticism are based on the difference between saying "excuse me sir... sir... sir... you're about to get hit by a truck." And "JESUS CHRIST LOOK THE FUCK OUT MAN, IT'S A TRUCK." If that analogy made any sense.XIVcaliber wrote:Though I've decided to stop writing fanfiction, I agree with Jake.

My thoughts are not dictated by ED they are dictated by what I think of their work. In fact it insults me that you would insinuate that. I have read plenty of crappy Fan Fictions.

What, does he have Bleached Underpants?
Pff, I don't care about that. The guy who draws/writes Girl Genius did porn comics, doesn't detract anything from the awesomeness that is Girl Genius.

Alvin Earthworm
Power Word: Mark Haynes
First successful piece of work: Super Mario Bros. Z
Features many great fight scenes, and a story that wins no points for originality, but that is all forgiven because the fight scenes are so awesome. However one criticism could be the distance between episode (see chart) but one could also argue that the fight scenes take longer to animate.
After success on newgrounds he opened a deviantART (and all other ripoff websites) page and began to publish several "tasteful" successions of "Anthro art"
However all of his fans failed to appreciate this and only wanted moar smbz. He proceeded to delete all his accounts save his Newgrounds and stated he was taking a hiatus from the internet and would finish smbz but only for himself. So no he doesn't have bleached underwear, he has white underwear which he shit brown whilst everyone was watching.
This doesn't detract from the awesomeness of smbz, but it does detract from the awesomeness of Mark Haynes himself. In other words he did a Jay Naylor
Oh and the Gorbachov music video was more awesome.
Allow me to show you parts of his *ahem* body of work.

So he's a furry. And what does this have to do with SMBZ?
As for the spike in progress: You've watched the episodes, right? Don't you think they might take a while to complete? Just maybe?
I'm going to delete that picture, though. NSFW=Not for these forums, please thanks.
