Hi there, I've been reading this comic for about a year and a half, mostly for the story, but also because I love watching the art improve with each chapter.

I loved the way you used the hard light of the lantern to your advantage in this page. You were very successful in creating the slightly creepy atmosphere.

There was only one thing on this page that bothered me. In the first panel when Collamair is walking towards the door, everything was great until I noticed the left foot. When a person is walking the foot that they have in front of them has the toe pointing up until the heel hits the ground and the other foot is making its ascent, and by then the foot in front is already flat.

But the rest of the body itself gives the illusion of movement which is very nice. I know it probably sounds nitpicky but after working with animation for a few years and making more walk cycles then I care to count, you tend to notice these things.

However, I love the rest of the art, particularly the clothing.

And Straun. I've really started to like him lately.

Hi! I'm glad you've been enjoying the story, clothes, Struan and most of the art.

Actually your criticism of that first panel is fine and well founded. I ink this by hand, and on the original page I'd started Colly too close to the bottom of the frame so that in order to get his feet in the shot, I gave him a REAAAAALLLY wide step. And then after I scanned it went, "That's silly, is he on a mission or something? I'll make that less wide." So I dragged him up and selected his legs and moved/warped them just a little, which was enough to correct the wide step, but then created the foot issues. I'm actually kind of a lazy person, and I went, "Meh, good enough!"

So that's the story of Collamair's strange step thing!

I like it, but I also hate comic sans so I'm slightly more biased than one who doesn't hate comic sans. The only thing is that it's hard to tell I from l.

Lots of people hate it, apparently. No one has ever said to me specifically to change it, but I know there is a lot of hate for comic sans.

You're right though . . . those letters are hard to differentiate. AUGH! T_T It took me so long to find that font too. There are not many comicky fonts with lowercases.
