Past Warriors

SpriteMeister mentioned in the Vs. Battle Preliminaries thread that we would eventually have a thread for past competitors in the Vs. Battles. I decided I should get on that. DESCRIPTIONS:

Esmerelda "Granny" Weatherwax:
An elderly woman in a shabby black dress and a pointed black hat. She is slightly tall, but seems much taller than she really is. A witch of no small power (regarded, in fact, as the most powerful witch since the legendary Black Aliss), and therefore one very hesitant to use magic. Her main strengths are her knowledge and understanding of the human psyche, and a branch of magic called 'Borrowing', wherein one 'rides' the mind of another creature, or even the minds of things not generally thought to have minds; Granny is so proficient that she has recently started borrowing the hive minds of bees. A good witch never alters, harms, or controls the mind of the borrowed, preferring to give subtle suggestions, and Granny is mostly good. Mostly.

Stephen Hawking:
A brilliant mind imprisoned in a weak and helpless body, Mr. Hawking is a genius physicist and also happens to be incredibly adapt at warping the laws of nature and physics, reshaping them in a fashion to best suit his needs. He is also equipped with a wheelchair which has a voice sythesizer, rocket boosters, afterburners, and various shiny weaponry.

Roseanne Barr:
Roseanne Barr, from the TV show Roseanne. She's a short, fat woman with a nasal voice and a serious control issue. She's lower-middle class white trash, and has a large husband and three children.

DarthCloakedGuy:
*NO DESCRIPTION GIVEN. PLAYER SHOULD PM SLEEPINGORANGE WITH ONE AT THEIR EARLIEST CONVENIENCE TO BE RECORDED HERE FOR POSTERITY*

Captain Bibliography:
A slightly short and physically unassuming man, Captain Bibliography is a powerful Mystic Theurge who has mastered the art of casting in armor. With an arsenal of spells and a slew of magic items, he slays all who oppose him, or those who it seems amusing to slay. And anyone near them. He habitually wears full plate mail under a black robe with embroidered white borders on the hem, neck, and sleeves, complemented by a short, black cylindrical hat with matching embroidery. He isn't actually evil, just very aloof and rather uncaring about lives. It's often hard to tell the difference.

Xylina and Faro:
Characters in the novel If I Pay Thee not in Gold. Xylina is a powerful conjurer who is banished upon her coming-of-age because the Queen is afraid of being overthrown by the only other conjurer more powerful than herself (side note: women can conjure, men can't; men are slaves). She isn't much at all physically (unless you count looks ((what do you expect, Piers Anthony helped write it)) ) and won't kill someone unless she absolutely has to, but she's quite a fighter. She has a really buff slave that she won in her coming-of-age ceremony, much to everyone's (but the reader's) surprise. His name is Faro.

Jell (Monster Rancher series) :
Jells are gelatinous monsters with high life, defense, and intelligence. They are very mutable and can transform into a variety of shapes. Being that they aren't exactly composed of cells, radiation would be pretty much a non-factor. They resemble a human made of clear blue gel from the waist up, except their eyes are hollow, their mouth is generally distended, and where their heart would be is a red sphere, pulsating occasionally. From the waist down, they are an amorphous cone shaped blob.

Radioactive Blob:
*NO DESCRIPTION GIVEN. PLAYER SHOULD PM SLEEPINGORANGE WITH ONE AT THEIR EARLIEST CONVENIENCE TO BE RECORDED HERE FOR POSTERITY*

Ki-T:
A cat from SpriteMeister's comic Super Final Fantasy Mario World. He seems very friendly, but tends to leave someone as soon as they stop paying attention to him. In the comic, the only abnormal thing about him has been creating a speaker out of thin air. In Vs. Battles, however, he posesses the ability to alter himself, summon blocks from Super Mario World (including Thwomps), and teleport (restricted by rule #11). Any other powers have not been revealed.

Simon:
An ordinary housecat, or so it would seem. Spends his days sleeping, eating, pooping, and plotting world domination.

Kirby (Dreamland 3):
A small, round, pink creature from many games; his primary ability is to eat enemies and, if applicable, copy an ability from them. In KD3, he has a few animal friends that he can ride/carry that change how his copied abilities work. They include a (relatively) large hamster named Rick, a calico cat named Nago, an owl named Coo, a small green bird named Pitch, a fish named Kine, and a pink octopus with a red bow (and apparently a thing for Kirby) named Chuchu.

Crimsonn Draycko:
Crimsonn Draycko was once training to become a paladin. In a freak accident, he injured his mentor and was unable to heal him. The wound eventually healed, but the young man was cast out of the realm and stripped of his title as squire of the Heironean Holy Order. He began a long quest to find his place in the world, and to prove himself. Nervous, shy, ashamed, and unsure of himself, he has wandered several worlds to search out an evil force to vanquish that he may prove himself and be atoned of his mistake. Crimsonn wears a set of chainmail overlayed with steel plates that was given to him by his father, Sir Crimson Draco I, in secret at the beginning of his quest. He wears a black tattered cloak to show his shame. He carries a large shield and wields a longsword. Despite his armor, he does know some spellcasting and his armor doesn't seem to hamper.
"I meant," said Iplsore bitterly, "what is there in this world that makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
"CATS," he said eventually, "CATS ARE NICE."

And this post shall represent the many arenas in use and their current condition.

Colosseum
Size: Standard (100-yd diameter)
Boundaries: Stone grandstands (side), dirt/stone floor (floor), sky (top)
Active element: None
Description: An ancient-Rome based colosseum. With no special attributes and no outstanding features, this arena lets the warriors move pretty much freely without worrying about the terrain. It also offers convenient seating for spectetors, and has a popcorn vendor to boot (don't boot him too hard, however, or he might quit).
Special attributes: No electrical power: You'll have a hard time finding outlets in the Colosseum. Then again, none of our arenas have outlets...
Usage: 6 battles
This arena is currently in use by SpriteMeister and Darth Cloaked Guy

Volcano
Size: Standard (100-yd diameter)
Boundaries: Volcanic rock walls (side + top), lava (floor)
Active element: Fire (duh)
Description: A battle ground inside an active volcano. How original. There are cooler chunks of rock floating around the lava that warriors can stand on, and the walls offer many hand- and foot-holds. One can climb to the opening at the top, but may run into problems doing so (Judge's discretion).
Special attribute: Volcanic activity: The volcano is currently on the low end of it's volcanic activity. The 'floor' is mostly rock, and there is very little fluxuation in the lava's height.
Usage: 0 battles
This arena is not in use at the moment.

Ancient Woods
Size: Clearing: Standard (100-yd diameter) Rest of Woods: Unknown
Boundaries: Trees form a 100-yd clearing; the rest of the woods are dense, dark, and possibly haunted. Ground forms lower barrier, and canopy covers top thickly
Active Element: Darkness
Description: A forest growing unabated since time immemorial. It's said to swallow the souls and bodies of those who enter, darkly empowering its own spirit, but that's just folk tales. The bones on the ground are animal. Probably.
Special attributes: Malicious Topography, Eternal Twilight, and Dark-Aligned Magic Traits (Dark Spells Enhanced, Light Spells Diminished)
Usage: 1 battle
This arena is currently in use by SleepingOrange and Silfedac.
