So, what does eveeybody think of the comic so far?
I'm asking this because, as a member of the growing fan base, and NOT a member of the creative team, I think it's better to heap praise on others than for others to have to ask for praise.
So i'm doing the team a service, by starting with the praise-heaping before they make themselves look like praise-gluttons by asking for it.
Personally, I think the comic's great. An interesting (although not entirely original) idea, great artwork, dialogyue and colours, and a plot that so far is engaging.
Finding a completely original idea is pretty hard to do. Look at a show like Firefly, which was a Western in space. Then you have stuff like Star Wars, which is basically Fantasy in space. Not exactly the most original ideas in the world but how they did them both were very different.
But anyways, I'll be the first to say I'm enjoying working with the other 'staff' on the comic. As much as I do with coloring, its nothing without the writing and artistry. I'm just a small cog in the comic, but thanks for the praise.
Anyways, I need to get back to working on some stuff now. Laters!
I like the comic so far, but the plot really hasn't gotten far enough yet for me to form much more of an opinion than that. The opening pages were nicely narrated, and this segment is doing a good job of introducing the principle and secondary characters and letting us get more familiar with them. Now that Salen's on set I get the feeling that we might have more exposition coming our way as the joint plan to resolve the situation really shapes up. Personally, I'm wating in suspense to see how the introduction of special abilities is going to work. Well, that and making wild guesses about who gets which powers, as we've only been granted that insight about some of the villains.
