Okay, I've been having fun watching the EN exploits unfold since I got hooked up about a month ago.
But today's strip (even though it's misnumbered *cough*) is.... I mean, I'm sitting here, totally blown away. Poe, you've just moved beyond "comic genius" to "artistic genius".
You promised us something different . . .
Now any critic who had glanced this way and dismissed EN as a collection of base entertaiment by some deranged pervert has undeniable proof that behind it exists an artistic talent with a human soul.
Let's hope they choke on it.

The fact that even in the beginnings, (yes, even in the old comics- you know which ones I mean, Poe) there was a wry look on life, poking fun at it. Not to mention enourmous talent, even before developing it, and the presence of excellent characterisation, without too much stereotyping.
No this is not sucking up, It's why I read EN every day, and don't any others (SF not past strip 17, Wendy not in the last 9 months).
I like this better. It do be good stuff.
