Well, in that case, thank you on both counts!STrRedWolf wrote:I can tweak the time-zone setting, easily enough. I'm gathering up some info on a better Siteadmin, so hopefully I can push out a proper Control Panel.
The site raiting is currently in Siteadmin. I'll throw that on the list.

It may be that it's just whatever time zone CG is currently set to, as you suggested earlier, but when I wake up in the morning on a new comic day, I find that my comic hasn't updated...and doesn't until I run a manual update. Just ran one now--second time I've had to--and Thursday's comic finally came up...not sure what the problem is, but I figure all data points are relevant, neh? Won't do any good to stay quiet about it.
Re: Comics Not Updating - Something is clearly wrong
I've also got ads and a newsbox like I'm supposed to, but apparently I'm still having to manually trigger my daily updates.

Okay, I think I have Bug #7 fixed; it was only doing positive offsets from US Pacific time and not negative offsets (aka 1 or 2 day delay). Lets see if this will work as the new code is in.

Re: Comics Not Updating - Something is clearly wrong
I've been uploading comics for every other day, but the front page is still showing the comic for May 19th. I've tried refreshing and shift-refreshing to no avail.
The newest comics do however have their own pages, as can be seen in the rss.xml feed - they just haven't showed up on the main page yet, after a few days' worth of manual index update attempts.

By the way, the "Next comic" button on your first page is broken. You should be able to fix that by running a full update.[geoduck] wrote:My auto-update went through; thanks for working on it!

Re: Comics Not Updating - Something is clearly wrong
My comic is not updating.
http://picklejuice.comicgenesis.com/ (NSFW) rated R I think, updates Weds and Fridays
tried Regular Update
tried Full Update
tried Index Update
Initially had the following files in workspace/comics. Renamed in a self-diagnosed assumption that I had uploaded them too late (read: several days late) and comic genesis was not working because of my tardiness.
20100521_new.gif (renamed 20100528_new.gif)
20100526_new.gif (renamed 20100602_new.gif)
20100528_new.gif (renamed 20100604_new.gif)
I am comfortable with these new dates for my comic.
My comic is still stuck on the 0512 image, won't update.
I do not believe I am part of the new "Autogen" test group.
The files in question seem to be in the public_html/comics/ directory but I did not want to try removing them, as this area is off limits in general.
I have tried multiple times to upload the (formerly 521 now 528) 528 gif image and doing an update, but the file is merely removed from the workspace/comics directory and the index page is not updated.
Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.

Re: Comics Not Updating - Something is clearly wrong
I am having the same problem as the previous poster. the comic is in the public comics folder, but is not appearing anywhere on the site. today is the second major attempt to get this comic up, and so i also tried renaming the comic to a later date and uploading, but that comic never reappeared in the public section. any help would be appreciated.

The problems above this post notwithstanding, my own comic appears to be working properly now. So whatever you did...thanks!

Angel and I are having the same problem with the comic not updating. Today should have been the second time that the comic updated. The user name for the comic is phantomlady4.
Thank you!
Thank you!

It's a beautiful morning, the sun is bright, the sky is clear, and my comic updated without any manual prompting.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Comics Not Updating - Something is clearly wrong
I'm having similar problems. When visiting my site the first page you see is the comic for the 12 of May, but I have updated twice since then. If I click the 2nd of May on the calendar the tab for June then appears and I can get to the other two pages but if I click the 'last' button it goes back to the 12th of May update. I've tried removing and then re-updating the pages, and have read the solutions posted on here, but being new to this whole website creation thing I'm not sure how to do most of these. Re: Comics Not Updating - Something is clearly wrong
As of now, problems with updates are probably due to this recent code push - see the thread for full details.

Yes. Also please remember to give the full address to your site when asking for help (like so: http://hybridfighting2exist.comicgenesis.com/ ). It helps us help you.Samurai 5713 wrote:Has the massive update finished?
Anyway, have you used FTP to check the "keencc.log" file in your account's root directory? It'll appear there as a text file just below the "public_html" and "workspace" folders. Download it and post its contents in this thread between some

Hmmmm....that log looks a lot smaller than it should. Did you copy and paste the whole the whole thing? Because they're usually about this big. If not, it could be symptomatic of some other problem.

Thats what I thought, because when I first looked at it when this problem started it was a lot longer. However I've opened it several times and it's still only that size
