Anyways, I madem y forum account today, and got my ftp working and all, but siteadmin won't log me in. I've no troubles logging in on my other account for for my other comic, but it won't allow me to log in on Breakingpoint.

When I try to log in it gives me thi:

Forum Username Breakingpoint not valid!
You must have a ComicGenesis Forum login (or you entered a bad username or password, it is CASE SENSITIVE.)

I'm typing the password correctly. Only problem I had before thisi s that I accidentally created this account with a lowercase be, so breakingpoint. But I had it immediately changed thanks to Stredwolf. But it still won't let me log in. Can anybody help?

You just solved your own problem.

SiteAdmin won't accept you until you've logged in to the forum at least once (in order to create the comparator code in the backend, more details). By having logged in and made a post you should now be able to log into SiteAdmin (assuming that you logged in to the forum with Breakingpoint and not breakingpoint).

No, I tried logging out and back in on the forum and Siteadmin many a time. I just tried it again, and it's still giving me "Forum Username Breakingpoint not valid!

I have the same problem!
I type my username and password correctly, I have logged out and logged into the forums, but the response I get is as follows:

Unfortunately I don't know what http digest authentication compliant iwth rfc2617 means--anyone know?

I'll try making a post and see if that makes a difference--(I tried logging out and logging back in with this new username, and SiteAdmin says I don't exist...so let's see if it'll think I exist after making a post...)

It's still not letting me log in and i've waited a couple days to try and its still saying my username is invalid.

Hi, I signed up recently and am also having trouble logging in to siteadmin. It gives me the same "not valid" error as previously posted, but my username starts with a capital letter. I'm not sure what to do now. Any more suggestions?

I've been a member since 2002, and I've never had a problem before. I last used it in Feb of 2008. But now no matter what I try, I get the same error:

I've tried logging in and out, on the forums too, and I've tried it with IE, Netscape and Firefox. I've also tried it on two completely different machines, but I'm still getting the same error. So any ideas?

I'm also having problems signing into siteadmin. It's told me I don't have a valid account. I've tried on three different browsers and I've tried making new accounts.

I've had a similar problem. My resolution was to only log in to siteadmin directly from the Comic Genesis home page. If I make a mistake typing my name or password in, I just go to the front page and log in again. Fortunately, I seldom make that mistake anymore because the browser has saved the login information for me.

Breakingpoint, if I understand you correctly, you can log into siteadmin using a password for your other account? Why not log into siteadmin using that account, then use the user name and password in the prompts at the bottom to add your other comic account to that list?

Well, that didn't work for me. I'm scratching my dome here. Every possible solution I've seen has not worked on my end.

Hmm - there are a large number of people reporting that they can't log into SiteAdmin although they appear to be doing the right things. It might be related to the earlier server hiccup since it appears to only be affecting newer users (older users can still login without drama).

I'll notify the admins and get them to have a look at it.

Is this the same issue?

I have been inactive in the forums long enough to have to re-activate my login. I've been uploading to my subjecttochange by using the butch ftp. I used the butch ftp all this time due to previous issues logging into the siteadmin for comicgenesis. Issues which I failed to persue and resolve.

I am using Firefox 3.0.10 on windows XP over a dialup connection.

Anyhoo, I think I did everything right, I even erased the cookies but I still get this type of error when logging into the siteadmin for comicgenesis:

Hey, just thought I'd make a post and then see if anything's changed. I've got the same problems, hopefully somebody will let us know when it'll start working again.
