How do I change my comic's URL?

Recently I've been confronted with the issue of changing my comic's name because it could interfere with the name of an already existing comic. That's easy to do. Just... change the name and the logo. Been there done that.

Now, the problem I'm faced with is to change the comic's URL at comicgenesis (www.vbd.comicgenesis.com)

I've been to CGWiki and searched for whatever I could find about this, but came empty-handed. I also looked at the FAQs and none covered this matter.

I tried to think of a solution: Maybe just deleting this comic and creating a new one... hm, maybe not, it still wouldn't change the URL nor the username I use for the FTP.

Worst case scenario is I'm going to have to submit a new comic and that would take two more months to get it up, not to talk about uploading three whole chapters all over again - 60 something pages, one page a day so it shows up in order.

Thus, I've come to you Help Center, to aid me in my distress.
What's up?

I'm not sure if there's a way to change the comic's URL. If there is, it involves getting ahold of an admin and waiting for them to fix it for you, which will probably take just as long as submitting a new comic.

You could buy a domain name and have it forwarded to your current account. That would mean you could give people your new address to get to your comic, but the address bar would still say vbd.comicgenesis.com. That would be faster, but cost $10 or $20 a year. If you're thinking of buying a domain anyway, it might be something to consider now. If you do start a new account, then you can change where your domain forwards.

I didn't know they'd use my user name directly for the comic's URL. If I knew that I would have used my comic's name as the user name.

The easiest way would be to contact an admin, tell them what happened, and see about signing up for a new username/url/account if they can't change the URL itself. Then just make sure you have a copy of everything from your site on your HDD, and upload it to the new site/account once its approved.
