I uploaded some gif pictures to my FTP account, I placed them in the Images folder, to be used on vbd.comicgenesis.
In my html file I coded them in like this (this is just one of the pics):
Code: Select all
<a href="http://vbd.comicgenesis.com/news.html"><img border="0" src="http://vbd.comicgenesis.com/images/news.gif" /></a>And just to test if the gifs work outside the webcomic page I'm gonna try to type in this code right here:
Code: Select all

Yup, it's like the picture doesn't even exist.
At first I thought it could be something with the server... then again, it could be anything.
EDIT: HUH? What the french toast is going on here? Now the picture works? And it's also showing up on the site... but what about the other gifs I uploaded? Was it because I made a link to it? Making the holyness of the internet realize the existence of the file? Should I just try to link to all the other gifs that aren't showing up? ...or is this something to do with the cache? (I never learn how to deal with that one.)
*clicks on the reload button* ok... I feel so stupid right now. Someone please throw a frog at my face. So now all the gifs showed up. I'm guessing that requsting updates doesn't really do tha much for some reason and I should wait for the regular scheduled update - and that's the one that really matters. Now all I have to do is figure out how to brings the pictures together so that there's no gap between them. Maybe I just have to write the code all in one line with no spaces.
I'm sorry if this post was kinda spammy. I seriously didn't know this was gonna happen this way.
