The comics are uploaded in /publichtml/comics (or whatever the directory is called)....however, no webpages were created in /d/. I'm trying a full update now, but I do not know if it will help.
In other news, I am a blithering idiot. I deleted indextemplate & dailytemplate.

Re: Updating?
Don't put anything in/public. Take everything out that you've put in. Put your comics in workspace/comics and then update.

Re: Updating?
I actually normally only use the automated siteadmin thing instead of the FTP client itself...I simply went in there to take a look.Wendybird wrote:Don't put anything in/public. Take everything out that you've put in. Put your comics in workspace/comics and then update.

Re: Updating?
Great...just tried Regular Update after uploading to /workspace/comics...still nothing. It's strange that it says the last update is 08/05 because I recently redid the webpages (after the problem had started) and those have been updated.
Re: Updating?
I'm sorry, I don't know what's wrong. It should be updating every night even without a trigger from siteadmin, so it might not be you. I'm not sure.

Re: Updating?
Unfortunately, that's what I'm thinking.
Is there anyone specific to ask about these things?

Re: Updating?
Hi!
Okay, first, let's cover the basics:
There are a number of other issues that might affect your comic's non-updating-ness, but we'll go over the easy stuff first.
Okay, first, let's cover the basics:
- What names do you give your files? They should be in the YYYYMMDD.ext format (Y = year, M = month, D = day and ext = extension. So a jpg for Christmas last year would be named 20071225.jpg).
- What software are you exporting with? And what format are you using? Supported formats are gif, jpg, png and swf. Other formats (such as tif and bmp) won't work.
- Do you have your templates? You should have indextemplate.html and dailytemplate.html files in the workspace directory.
- Do you have an index.html file where it's not meant to be? You should have just one - in the public_html folder. If you have a second one in the workspace side then your comic won't work.
- Have you changed any of the settings in your comic's settings in SiteAdmin?

Re: Updating?
Yeah--yesterday, I realised that I'd cleverly deleted indextemplate & dailytemplate...I restored both files, which made the archives work...I'll look to see if there are other index.html files floating around. Thanks!
