If you want to set it up in Dreamweaver, first off, FORGET ABOUT FRAMES. You really, really, REALLY don't need them, period. What you want to do is set up your page with whatever basic background colour you want in back, then set up a one cell table in the middle of your page, and set the picture as the background for the table. Make sure you set the size of the table to match the size of your image, and also make sure you set the table borders to 0, otherwise there will be a border around your picture and that just looks funny, IMO. Then you can quite simply place the keen tags within that table, whereever you want your comic to pop up and you want your buttons to be - yes, you need to make separate images for your buttons, and place the button images whereever you'd like them to go in that table. Keep in mind, though - that image that you're putting in the table NEEDS to be large enough for ALL of your buttons, PLUS whatever size your comic is going to be - so you may want to make some sort of standard image size for your comic, and make sure that you don't deviate from that image size, or your table size is going to go all weird on you. If you're just doing a conventional 3-panel strip, that's pretty easy to determine a workable size for, if you are doing a full-page layout, like I am doing with my comic, you still need to work out a standard image size for your comic - mine is pretty much set nowadays at 640x1050, which seems to work out fine and not need any side-scrolling to read - however, some of my earlier comics were a LOT larger than that. Also, some browsers will not show that background image - older versions of Netscape, for example, won't show that background image in your table, so make sure that the text colour you choose stands out not only against the background table image, but against the background colour itself - because those people using the older browsers simply won't see that image, and if your text in that table is the same colour as your background behind the image, it'll dissapear!
Hopefully that makes sense, if you have any other questions, let me know. Oh, and one more thing - make yourself a signature on the forum. Put the URL of your comic in the signature. USE IT. Not only will this make it a LOT easier for those of us that are troubleshooting to actually go to your site and LOOK AT IT, but it also has the added advantage of advertising your site here there and everywhere you post.
------------------
