Excellent.

Hey guys, I have another query.
Almost thought you were rid of me, didn't you? Well unfortunatly not.
I just have a question about FTP permissions.
See, I got a <A HREF="http://www.blogger.com">Blogger</a> account and am trying to link it up to my site. And I followed all of the instructions in <A HREF="http://cgwiki.comicgenesis.com/index.ph ... r">this</A> CGWiki tutorial on how to upload, set up, and point everything. I've got all of that down. I'm just having trouble actually creating the folders which are to be used to point, store and all around make EXIST and function the blog.
When I tried to create a new folder and name it "news" my FTP interface said

Unable to transfer.
This is most likely due to insufficient permissions. Verify both the destination path and permissions, then try again. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator or hosting provider.

I'm just wondering what the steps are to getting these permissions, or if I've missed something painfully obvious again.
So either way, please any help on this level would be greatly apreciated.

Ahh, like old times.

I have the feeling that permissions have been changed, or reset to their default of not letting people create files in the public_html section. I pm'd the admins about it and Kisai didn't respond and Stredwolf simply said "people shouldn't create stuff in the public html section".

Which just seems weird to me.

Yeah, that does seem weird.
People should be allowed the largest ammount of customization and flexability with their site.
I'll probably rant more often when I haven't just woekn up.
But man, is there anyway to change this.
Can we start a petition?

Eh either way I've found a temporary solution.
But I do have what I hope is one Final question.
How do I get a background image onto my page?
I kind of need it to do some of the final prussing ups my page.

Easy: http://www.google.com/search?q=background+image+html

Same as any other image for your site, put it into the workspace/images folder and add the appropriate code to your template(s).

Of course, in all fairnes, it was more Marx brothers.

Tip: you may want to add a second set of nav buttons below your comic as well as above. This makes it easier for your readers to navigate as they won't have to scroll back up for the 'next' or 'previous' buttons.

I was thinking that, its just that my author's blerb is another HTML file and its set to come down directly below the comic itself.
The comic is "20070605a.png" and the blerb is "20070605b.html".
So the nav buttons were originally below the blerb, wich looked gaudy.
If there is a way to get in between them I'd love some MORE help.
