Questions About Ad Banners

Post by Sonira »

1. I tend to put my ad banners at the bottom of the page to keep them from interfering with my layouts. Is that alright?

2. Upon putting in the "***todays_comics***" tag, I received a second advertisement on my <a href="http://streetdevil.comicgenesis.com/comic.html">comics page</a>. Is there any way to get rid of this, since it isn't happening on my <a href="http://adamandsei.comicgenesis.com/comic.html">other comic</a>?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

No, it needs to be at the top. Click here for more information.

I understand that occurs automatically if the advertisement isn't found where it's supposed to be, or if you have the ***todays_comics*** tag inside a frame. This problem may right itself once you put the advertisement at the the top of your page.

OH! I was also wondering if there's any way to get the hentai ads off of my MA site? I mean, the comic may be MA, but I really would prefer not having actual porn ads... D: It really turns a lot of people away from the comic. I'm fine with other ads... just not hentai...

Just log into siteadmin and click "Your Comic" Comic data RATINGS. Scroll all the way down and select "Opt-out" under the Options section, then submit.

EDIT: It may take a while for this to take effect.

this is really weird...with my layout...I somehow got the second ad. HOWEVER...I was getting ads from intimate dating, and even 'the scariest thing you'll ever see' ad. WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG?! My site is a KID'S comic! http://destinyangel.comicgenesis.com Just take a look here! What is going on?

Unfortunately, the only ads that are filtered due to rating are the "J-List" ads. All others are theoretically supposed to be PG. If not, I'm pretty sure they're violating something. If it pops up on your site again, report it to an admin.
This is going in my notebook titled "Things I Didn't Know about Surface Dwellers."
