Comic Comments

Hi there. New CG member, fresh and non-smelly and curious as to how comments on comics work:
NOW. The wiki states that if you name your comic file (say) 20060309a.gif and your comment 20060309b.txt, the comment will appear below the March 9 comic.
What if your comment is labelled with the b, but the comic is missing the a? I ask because it'd be a hassle to rename my comic files at this point.

You can pretty much forgo the use of a "b" in the filename of your text comments.
The text comment will always appear below your comic default; using alphabetised letters is just a way of organising things if you want the text comments to appear above the comic. Just remember to include a <br> tag at the top of your text file so the first line of your comment doesn't appear at the bottom-right corner of your comic.

I don't see why people even use this method. ***todays_notes*** makes so much more sense.

***todays_notes*** is something newer, most oldbies are used to just using the text file, so we forget about it.

***todays_notes*** is sort of a bloggish thing, but you can put it under your comic in it's own seperate box if you like to have your navigation right under your comic. Refer to the notes on that.
