Newsbox and Siteadmin down?

This morning when I was checking up on CG websites, the ones with newsboxes both didn't show the newsbox and asked be to download a file.
Looked like this:

Also, when trying to go to the siteadmin, rather than even go to the website I got this:

I'm none too computer smart so have no idea what's going on. I also talked to some other folks with comics here and they are having the same or similar problem.

So is anyone else having this problem? Is there something wrong with the siteadmin and the newsbox in general? Or am I just overlooking something and can fix this myself somehow?

I do use firefox. But you gave me the idea to try it in IE and it works there.

Damn IE. But it's better than nothing.

I get the same problem in Safari. The browser gave me a warning as it started downloading newshack.php on its own, and I didn't appreciate.

Heee. I just find this funny because the image he showed of the error says "What should Firefox do with this file?"

However, it sounds like a CG-side problem - not a viewer problem.

No, that doesn't make you retarded! Besides, I keep seeing your name on helpful posts so if you read a gazillion other people's problems it's not like you can't be expected to occassionally miss something. :D

heh yea I remember being the new guy way back when, so I try to help out when I have the chance. I can't really work on my comic at my job but I can browse the forums if we're slow.

This was caused by apache/php not getting compiled correctly, so apache was thinking php was a file not a process.

Anyway this hiccup was fixed (the amount of time that passed while it was doing this should have been under an hour)
