Permissions issue.

Post by Churusaa »

I'm helping another user get her webpage up and running, and I seem to have run into a spot of trouble.

The execute bit is missing from all the folders in her public_html directory, keeping me (and everyone else) from opening them. I've tried the renaming trick, but it doesn't seem to work with directories.

If anyone has any suggestions or the op power to chown, chmod, and/or chgrp the files to the appropriate permissions, I'd be much obliged.

The comic is http://rynnadragonheart.comicgenesis.com

... well THAT sucks.

I would suggest using WS_FTP LE to get info on your directory structure - it does a nice job of plaintexting it. Or just use whatever you're used to using.

Then post that info here. Not that I don't believe you, but that way the information is available. Once that's done, then one of the mods here can alert the admin to the nature of your issue.
