"Error_login"

Post by Danikitty »

When attempting to update my comic this morning, I encountered this message several times:

Error_login

Click_return_login

Click_return_index

I have cleared cookies / temp internet files associated with the site -- with no luck. I am downloading firefox as I type this, to see if it is an IE6 error of some sort.

Is this error due to the fact that I had been previously unaware of the mandatory switchover to a ".comicgen" domain address?

I do not make it a habit of checking the forums unless there is a problem, I would have loved a bit of advance forwarning when I logged in to the site, or some sort of announcement in the Siteadmin. (In fact, until today, every attempt I've made to register for the forum didn't work, the security graphic always came up as a good ol' Red 'X' )

Anyway, Thanks in advance for any help/insight.

As an addendum:

Firefox gave me the same message! I think I might have broken the internet.

If you don't check the forums much, you might not be aware that there are two siteadmins at the moment:

http://siteadmin.comicgenesis.com
http://siteadmin.comicgenesis.com:8080

The 8080 siteadmin is the old one. The new one requires you to be logged into the forums before you access the page (this is a bug, from what I understand). From there, you use your comic username and password to link your comic to your forum account (if you haven't already). Then you can do updates and such. Some things only exist on one of the siteadmins right now, though, like the domain change utility (which is on the 8080 siteadmin).

Basically, what I'm saying here is that if one doesn't work, try the other.
