This isn't much of a help topic, but im wondering about this. I've always used CANSON Biggie Acid-Free Cold pressed 9x12 50lb. Sketch paper (whew!) for my comics. I've used ARTGUM erasers to correct my penciling. And white paint for Ink errors (wich my scanner doesn't reveal at all... beytter than white out). I use F or H hardness pencils and BIC ballpoint pens and Super Fine Sharpie markers. So, the point of this is, what do you use? anything better than what im presently using?

I use a basic Bic mechanical pencil, and a basic soft eraser, a Uniball pen for thick lines and a biro for fine, and I draw in a relatively decent scrapbook.
Most mistakes are just drawn over and the misplaced lines are removed once the comic's been scanned.
All my stuff is cheap (except the scanner), and all my paint programs are free. Whether they're better or not is a matter of opinion.
------------------

I'm super cheap. I'm at the borrowed india ink, dialogue the comic using Win 98's paint program, using the sketch paper I have left from my Drawing course stage.
Before that it was shading and doing the whole thing in pencil, using the photoshop, only pen, and a coloring with pens or colopencils
Gahh I'm so cheap..
-MER http://mer.keenspace.com

Since my comic is not "manga styled" it IS acutal manga (not the chibis, but the regular squadron 509) I use dojinshi A4 135kg paper, an HB mechanical pencil, a sanford magic rub eraser (the name sounds really sick "magic rub" but it's very professional) I use different kinds of inks, japanese india ink, Higgins waterproof ink, and white correction ink. I also use the Maru, Tama, and G-pen nibs as well as an extra fine point sharpie for frame lines. I also have several different ruler types, regular clear ruler (very cheap) and french curves rulers, and a flexible ruler. I usually use Prang watercolors or this other brand, I forgot the name but it's a liquid water color (Prang is solid) Prismacolor color pencils... augh! I could go on and on. I'm really quite poor, probably because I spend all my money on art supplies. Eh, I bet no one even really cares.. I'm rambling again.. blah.
Should I even get into the screen tone tools?
------------------

I use a delta G-force XLT micro tip L4 thickness pen. I don't think they make the edition I have anymore.

My comic isn't techincally up yet, but here's my equipment:
A set of various art pencils (I mostly use 2H for sketching)
A crappy little white-ish art eraser, that's been broken in half
Strathmore drawing pad (with 3 blank pages left. I need a new one.)
And I have two Micron pens by Pigma, a 02 and 05. Once i get some actual money, I'll buy different thicknesses as well.
And to clean everything up/color, I have Paint Shop Pro 7. It works for what i need.
That's about it. Cheap cheap cheap. ^_^

Lessee, for Anxiety Cafe and everything else, I use plain typing paper (cause I can't afford Bristol boards and stuff) the same mechanical penicls that I use for school, one of those long retractable tubes of erasers (I love those things..cept they tend to attract other immature middle school students besides myself) and those Sharpie gel pens you can get a Wal-Mart, black and white at 0.05 for small details and a uni-ball 0.3 for thick lines. My scanner is one of those $80 buck ones from Wal-Mart, and I'm one of those lucky people who have Adobe Photoshop. (My dad had it for awhile but he never used it...now it's finally getting some use.)
I am cheap! Minus the adobe, anyway..
------------------
