archive and previous/first problems

Post by Hppire »

Ah right. *hits self in head* New topic posted - sorry StrRedWolf.

piresaway
piresaway.keenspace.com

Reporting that while siteadmin and ftp now work she's having another different problem. I appear to be having the same problem as sarasoji.

Here's what's happening with me. Clicking on the first button gives me a 404 error - not found. I can't even find a previous button that goes to a comic before 3/12/05. However if I type in the address (piresaway.keenspace.com/d/date) I can get to the comics albeit slowly. I have a small calendar on my index page and while March shows up fine apparently the only other month is December. Also the big_calendar tag on my archive page appears to be completely screwed up. I ought to have it going back to March '04 but what I see is "March 40" "April 40" and "December 50" followed by a March '05.

Any guidance you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

mintwhelp is screwy... the navigation has gone bananas. I think it's the same problem.

I don't run mintwhelp, but I do want to read it...

mintwhelp
mintwhelp.keenspace.com

Ermnh, seems that the navigation of the main page (that is, mintwhelp.keenspace.com) is acting strangely, since it marks that there are no comics marked in the calendar. Also, the first and previous buttons take to http://mintwhelp.keenspace.com/d/1.html and http://mintwhelp.keenspace.com/d/2.html respectively, which are non existing files.

But, when I use the Chapter navigation, it takes me to the old comic files, and everything works peachy (if maybe a bit slow) until I reach the last week, where evrything becomes rather odd again...

I don't know if this has something to do with this problem or not, but the weird stuff began a small while ago when I sent to manual update the comic so...

I'm using Windows XP with an Internet Explorer Browser, if that happens to help.

I'm hopping on the bandwagon

superfightfight.keenspace.com is having the same problem. I thought my comics just were erased, so I checked my ftp, and they were still there, so I did a manual update, and nothing came from that.

I'm not sure where to put this so...

I checked my comic status and apparently my domains are not ok - missing.

Someone said that by deleting everything and reuploading the problem went bye-bye. Is this what I need to do admins? *is lost*

Pop your username at the Post-March 13 anouncement on the top of this forum. A lot of people are having this problem so that'll let the admin know you're one of them.

In case anyone is wondering about the answer to that one:
Fanny-Pack wrote:That will all be fixed if you move the comics from /public_html/ to /workspace/comics/ and perform an update.
You don't need to reupload everything. Only the new, misplaced ones. The old ones are still accessible, just not from the new comic pages. You can get to them via the dropdown, if you use one, by direct access, or by manually-entered links on your site. Just not on AutoKeen-placed previous/whatever-day links on the new pages.

The other post's locked. I'm have the same problem with the nav buttons. Is it possible to get to the earlier comics? it says the first one was monday the 13th, but that's not case. Otherwise the comic's fine, just can't get to the earlier strips.
