Update jams

I'm new to Keenspace so the current problem with the manual updates is new to me (it's been 12 hours since I put in an update request and I'm still in a queue of 4694 requests). I take it this is something that happens fairly often, but I was wondering how often, what causes it, and what might be done about it?

It's a fairly recent problem that started with the first of the month. Methinks the Admins are working to fix the problem but then again the Update Queques been stuck at 4722 for the last 15 minutes :/

What Mew Master said. Minor hiccups happen every once in a while, but major ones like the ones we experience these days are a rare occurance.

As a user, the best (and about the only) things you can do is to keep a cool head about it and keep an eye on the boards for announcements requesting information from people who are experiencing the problems (see the most recent sticky on this board, as an example).

We were running quite smoothly for the latter part of last year and the early part of 2005, but we've been having a hash of problems recently. I haven't had this much work to do in the Help Center for ages.

Well not to be a nagging nelly...but...

It's 4:30 and I'm getting e-mails again asking where their fix is.

I'm sure the keenspace staff is working diligently on this.

I'm attempting to autoload my stuff for tomorrow through my FTP right now, its not working.

But I will try again and again periodically until it does.

Incidentally, I tried uploading some stuff yesterday for today, and while it was loaded, it never auto-updated.

I have AOL you see, so I'm forced to autoupdate everything since I can't login and run a manual.

But whatever, like I said, I'll keep trying, unless you pro's have any suggestions...

hmmmmm...it's 11:00 PM my time.

Still haven't seen an update for my site, although I've prompted it manually three times today.

And I SHOULD be updating Wednesdays update sometime soon I guess.

Now I'm growing worried.
