ftp and login seem to be working! thank you so much

Ohhhhkay....

I tried logging into FTP from work via internet explorer. I'm unable to either acces the FTP, or it's coming up as empty. Not quite certain.

I know on tuesday I was able to access the FTP using cute ftp.

So I'm not quite certain what that means...if anything.

I've checked again to make certain that my site is still active (it is).

Trying to give ya'll any information that will help you get things working. Tried auto updating my site a few times within the last three hours and nothing seems to be bumping the new strips up.

Everything checks out, but my site has still not updated, and we've been trying since yesterday.

Fanart is due, but archives appear non-existent... Is this tied into the wonders that have been working, or not, that side of the monitor? Just wondering if it something I should just rest and wait for or if I am terribly not getting it and need to go upload... What according to ftp, is already there.

Is this related, or have I sprung a new leak, so to speak?

Looks like things are updating as of 5:00 this morning. I still cant access FTP via IE at work, but at least I know I won't get any e-mails from fans wondering if I'm still breathing.

If I owe fan art, let me know.

Man I AM doing something wrong.

Tried again this morning to FTP into the account; got a "Sorry, authentication failed" message from SmartFTP, failed to log in on the web FTP, sent out for a new password (I sent out for a new password Sunday and never got anything too) and tried looking up my comic status and got:

Okay, I can log into my SiteAmin fine and all, but my FTP is giving me crud now.....

Windows cannot access this folder. Make sure you typed the file name correctly and thatyou have permission to access the folder.

just an update. My texandjenny account is working again.

I did had to get my password changed to login, but it's working, nontheless.

Don't know if this is related or a separate problem, but my comic didn't auto-update last night. I had the comic set for "tomorrows comic updates at 8:00 PM PST." As of this morning, the new comic was not up. Manual update worked fine though.

Mine updates now, but I've got the same problem as Ashenpaw in that every comic before Tuesday has disappeared from the site. Is this a new problem or residual effects of the original problem?

Also, my email account is getting Password Change Request confirmations for somebody else's site.

Everything works again! YES! Admins, you truly are kings among men. Domo arigatou, mina-sama.

I tried last night, and the siteadmin gave me the option to do a manual update. I pressed the button -- the queue was around 6700. As of this morning, nothing seems to have updated.

When I go into siteadmin now and choose 'Edit', it seems that all the information for my comic has been deleted. No days are marked for the update schedule, none of the ratings checkboxes are marked, the description field is empty, even the 'First comic' field is blank. My banner is gone also. I can FTP into my site, and all the comics (past and future) are still there.

Here's a question -- should I re-enter all that information? Will doing so cause problems? Or are you reloading data from backup, so the info will be back at some point?

I'd just like to know how to proceed, preferably in a way so that I don't miss another update. If the answer is 'Wait and be patient', that's fine, just say so.

Is it safe to update yet? My previously posted Lab Bratz comics are no longer visible from the web, but the system says that my comics are OK. Do I just need to reload the earlier comics or will they miraculously reappear on my site?

But.

When I fill in the middle box, it complains: "Domains NOT OK, missing"
