I've just made my site, and for a lack of time and HTML knowledge I'm using the charcoal theme (I know it's unorigional, but it's only for a while). But I can't seem to get my banner or my nav buttons to show up. Any ideas? I'm using all PNGs for the site.

Try usng the full url for the image. It's usually not nesecary but I do it anyway to just avoid the chance of it not working. It's rare but it happens. Check the spelling of the file. It is case sensitive so if it's banner.PNG not banner.png it won't work. Also note that it might be best to use a jpg or gif instead. Internet Explorer sometimes doesn't like png's and wont display them properly. (I use Firefox so I don't care, but not everyone does)
As for the nav buttons. Are they called previous_day and next_day ect.? If they are named correctly then wait until you have a few more comics in the archive. It sometimes fixes itself. Don't know why it does that sometimes...

I had the nav thing happen to myself about two weeks ago when I first got started. Everything was in place.
It was really just a matter of the second comic showing up thereafter, and the updater thus recognized it. So just be patient, it should be in the pipeline.

1) check and make sure that your "banner.png" is in the /images folder, and is named exactly "banner.png" and NOT "Banner.png" or "banner.PNG"
2) IF you're sure your images are in the right place and correctly named, reupload your indextemplate, overwrite the old one and hit a fresh update.

I've got the banner up, but the nav buttons still don't work. Is there a certain size you need them to be? I've got 8 total comics up now, do I need more?
