I don't wanna use Keenspace Tags....

I don't want to use Keenspace tags, b/c I just learned that not everyone's computer can read the tag's coding. Thus, I don't want to use them anymore. I rather that everyone can read it, and not just some.
SO, is it possible for me not to use the tags for Keenspace on my keenspace account, or do we have to use it?

Who told you that the tags can't be read by some computers?
The tag isn't actually ever sent to the viewing public. What happens is that when keenspace goes over your templates for an update, it finds these tags and replaces them with actual HTML code so that people can see it. This means that everyone will be able to see what you want them to see.
One exception is that if they're running Norton Firewall they may not see your images, due to the fact that Norton does some funky things, but you can read how to get around that in the gear.
If you were to tell us specifically which tags you were told were troublesome, though, we would be able to help you better.
To answer the real question, though, I do believe you can do everything manually and not use the tags, save for one. You HAVE to have the ***advertisement*** tag there at the top of your page as part of the licence agreement.
'Course the whole idea is to have autokeen do the work for you, so not using the tags is going to create a lot of work for you.

The tags are used by Keenspace to write REAL CODE in their place, like Sam said, so there's no such thing as "my browser wont' read keenspace tags". That's just, to be brutally honest, quite stupid, and whoever said that to you is either ignorant about this or trying to mislead you.
You CAN avoid using the tags, but that means you'll have to hardcode by hand everything the tags do for you: linking, navigation, date display, calendars, etc. And since you MUST put up the advertisement, you'll have to place the whole code by hand instead of just the ***advertisement*** tag.
The beauty of the tags is that they allow you to change stuff on the fly, like add or remove past updates, rather quickly and easily, not to mention site overhauling or re-design. If you do everything by hand, you'll find any of these things to be a chore compared to the Autokeen tag system. And when you considering that's one of the points of Keenspace (it takes care of the site so you can concentrate on the comic), one has to wonder why anyone would want to avoid it.
If you're still dead set on not using them, simply don't use them in your updates, and remove them from indextemplate and dailytemplate, though remember you HAVE to add the top advertisement code. Keenspace will update your comic as any other.
Plus, if you really want to make managing your site even harder, you can even turn Autokeen off, so you have do all updates by yourself. Yay!

... which comes to the final point; put the ad tag on your site, because you're breaching contract with Keenspace right now by not having it there.

Well, you
could manually paste the code that the ***advertisement*** tag generates. As long as you remember to do it on every page.
But as has been pointed out, there is no need. Tags are read by the Keenspace server that generates HTML from them, not by viewers' browsers.

KeenSpace ***tags*** are used by Autokeen only. Your browser DOES NOT understand them at all. Autokeen understands them.
Are you putting your indextemplate.html in /public_html and not /workspace?

I think that's what happened. the person did say that he installed something on his computer, and couldn't see the images. Oh well. He said that he'll try again. And I'm not gonna not use the tags' system b/c I realize that not using it would be way too burdensome for me.
So, oh well. Thanks for your help, you guys!!

Yes, that's most definitely Norton Firewall or Norton Web Security.
Just run that under the forum search and the solution is right there, in one of the first few posts that come up. Basically have to add the keenspace domain to the permitted site list.
The step by step is on the post though.
