Now that my account finnaly works, I can move on to my second problem. If you think it is too stupid a question to answer, (I wouldn't know) then just point me to the place to find out myself.
I don't know how to get to all those nessisary folders. Just how does one do that. Examples would be: public_html, /wokspace/images, /workspace folder, and indextemplate.html are only afew off the top of my head. How do you acess these? I tried putting them on the end of the keenspace website as well as my account site. Just where do I go?.....
Thanks for your patience and time, I couldn't find this ANYWHERE!
I hope this question isin't too noob....

I think your best bet is to get an FTP program and use that. This part confused me at first since no one ever realy SAYS to get one or how to use it. Basically your files are in a private place on the internet known as an FTP server. The FTP program lets you access these folders at will.
First get your password information. Got it? good!
Now, after you have installed your FTP program (I recomend Smart FTP as it works well and is free) you should enter in your username and password along with the server that should be keenspace.com.
Now, You should see 2 folders. the top will be Public and the second will be workplace stuff. The top is what the world sees and the bottom is workspace where you store everything before it is moved to the public space. Most of this is automatic as I will explain shortly.
To upload your 2 main pages you should click on the workspace folder and you will see 3 subfolders and 2 html docs. SAVE THESE SO YOU HAVE THEM IF YOU SCREW UP! The index is your main page and the daily template is what people will see when they explore archives. As said before make a copy of these and edit them to your liking.
Once edited upload them to the workplace folder (but not the subfolders) and overwrite the old ones. Now you can start dealing with other pages like cast pages and fanart pages. Upload these to the webpages folder under workspace. All images for your site go to the images folder and your comics go to the comics folder in YYYYMMDD format.
When you go to the login page of the keenspace site you will see an update option. What this does is move all of the workspace stuff to the public place. Do this after every edit. If you did it right then you should have a site up and ready to go.
I know this is probably more than you asked for, but I don't know what you know so I am playing it safe. Bessides, maybie the next guy who reads this can use it.
Sidenote: You can remove old comics (filler etc) by deleting it from the public folder. Other than this though it's best to just leave that area alone.

IE works pretty well as an FTP program BECAUSE it works the same as working your computer. Basically, do what Smight said (type ftp://your site) into the address bar like you're typing in an http address. That'll get you there, password, ect, and you'll end up in the FTP site.
And it may or may not be a let-down, because it doesn't look all that special. You'll wind up looking at a screen with two folders in it, kinda like when you look at your documents folder when you go in to find your homework or something. Click on "Workspace" and you'll end up looking at more folders. Click on "public_html" and you get more folders and a few assorted web-pages.
To put things into Workspace (which is probably the only place you really need to put anything for the time being) you bring up whatever folder you're keeping your comic stuff in, on top of the HTML page, highlight whatever it is you want to put into the FTP folder, drag it into the folder (prefferably while it's open) and drop it in.
And then you're done and can put something else there.
It's exactly the same as if you were moving a file from one of your own folders to another. The only difference is that the FTP site is NOT your computer and it's password protected. You get a time-lag when it downloads off your computer to the server. That's it.
Type in ftp://whatever into the address bar, do your password and the rest, and then just treat it like you're moving stuff from "My Documents" to...oh, "My Ex-Hobbies" or something.

O.o I likes it. Not quite as easy as using IE but it does let me use foxfire to wiggle out from under the oppressive thumb of Mr. Gates and the flood of viruses his explorer brings. I never really liked ftp programs because they always seem needlessly complicted.chibiartstudios wrote:Wooo! Spiffy!
Though I still prefer SFTP, I see no reason why this wouldn't get the job done just as well.
So there you have it my man! Enjoy!
I remember caring... It was nice.
