Comic's gone =/
Okay... I've had this problem even since I started with Keenspace almost 1 1/2 year ago... it's the rant. Everytime I add a rant (.txt), upload on FTP, update on keenspace page, my page only shows the rant. The comic isn't there. It does, however, come when I update a new page or if you go previous and then next. I've tried using both the public_html folder and workspace, hoping to see some difference, but both do the same. I've also tried giving it different names, e.g. writing "20041224a.txt" or "lob20041224.txt", doesn't work. I've also tried making a JPG to a rant, doesn't work either. It's pretty much the same thing if I try to upload several images on one day, it just shows one.

Yeah, this is very freaky.
For example the most recent comic doesn't show up on the index page, but it does show here
And the html for the image simply isn't there on the index page!
If it was there, it could be rendered invisible by something from the page, but it just isn't there! That's something I'd think impossible, but apparently it happens.
Maybe it's some kind of bug in autokeen and you just stepped into it.
Okay, try this: replace the indextemplate with something simple
(as in "<html><body>***advertisement***<hr>***first_day******previous_day***<br> ***todays_comics***</body></html>" kind of simple)
And see if it works then.
If the image works, it must be something about your template- edit the template, write it from the scratch, or something.
If it doesn't work, it must be something about your site setup- try editing the info in http://siteadmin.keenspace.com
And if that doesn't work, contact Kisai or StrRedWolf.

You are the Non. You must go now, and never return."
"1.Scan in high res 2.tweak with curves, levels or something to clean up the scan (or use channel mixer to remove blue pencil lines) 3.Add colour using a layer set to multiply. 4.Add wordbubbles and text as vector shapes. 5. Merge all layers. 6.resize to the web size. 7. Export/Save for Web" that's all I know about webcomicking.

But his rants do work, so he must be putting them in the right place.
The comics also work- in the archives, so they are in the right space.
The problem is: the rant shows on the main page, but the comic doesn't.
Now, I wouldn't bet on it, but I think I remember, that back in the old days, the siteadmin page had a checkbox "No comic on the index page" or something to that effect.
Perhaps he accidentally checked it years ago, and then it got carried to the current configuration, except now it's not on the page, so he can't uncheck it.
Is that possible?

You could try PMing Kisai (again)
umm.
Start with explaining that you do upload the files in the correct location.
That they DO show up in the archives, but DO NOT show up on the index page.
(She probably gets hundreds of these messages and doesn't have time to check all the details in all of them. Especially since in most of cases it is just the user misspelling the filename and other trivial things like that.)
